Cover members on a Guaranteed Issue basis - meaning no individual medical or financial underwriting is required. All members working 30 hours per week or more must be covered.
Groups of 10-49 lives
Cover members on a Guaranteed Issue basis - meaning no individual medical or financial underwriting is required.
Groups of 10+ have the option of limiting coverage to a certain class of members. For example:
All exempt members
All owners and management
All employees and owners with X months of service
Groups of 10+ may also customize the required hours per week (e.g. 20, 25, or 30 hours)
Allow employees to purchase disability insurance with discounts ranging from 10%-25% which continue to apply even after separation of employment.
Employee paid programs use individual products requiring three (3) or more participants, which does not have to be maintained in order for the individual to renew coverage.
Medical and financial qualification is required, however exams are usually waived.
If you don't want to administer payroll deductions, billing will be direct to the individual.
Availability is subject to state approval. MassMutual and Ohio National do not offer group insurance - they have employer sponsored individual programs.
